Jordan is a transman who, along with his twin Aubrey, is transitioning in mid-life. Jordan became involved with TransMentors when Aubrey reached out to Michael Brown at TransMentors International. Jordan and his twin transman brother having been without family were caught in an abusive situation in their former home state. Further compounding their situation was Jordan’s crippling anxieties. Being given a place in the Safe House provided by Michael and his wife Lillian gave Jordan the stability and safety not only to begin transitioning, but to work through the anxiety. Being involved in the programme along with the supportive atmosphere of the house, gave Jordan new tools and the help he needed to regain his strength and rebuild his life.
